Packing Your Bouquet to ship to
Floral Keepsakes by Lauri

Place the bouquet in a standard refrigerator. If a refrigerator is not available, keep the bouquet in a cool or air-conditioned room until you are ready to ship it. refrigerating the bouquet prior to shipping locks in coolness and moisture during shipment.
DO NOT PUT YOUR BOUQUET IN THE FREEZER!

What you will need:

bulletA box just a little larger that the actual bouquet
bulletPacking Material-either crumpled newspaper or Styrofoam packing peanuts
bulletPaper towels
bulletPacking tape to seal the box
bulleta frozen coolant block You may us a commercial coolant block
(like the ice coolants used in a cooler to keep food/drinks cold)

Preparing To Ship:

  1. Ensure that the coolant block(s) is (are) frozen. This refrigerant, when frozen will keep your flowers fresh and cool in the box during shipping to us.
  2. Prepare the bouquet:

Bouquets with holders: You will need to fill the oasis foam holder (green spongy
foam in holder in which the flowers are inserted) with cold water. you do this by holding the bouquet under a gently running faucet for just a few seconds. It shouldn't take much water to re-hydrate the foam. Shake off excess water that may have dripped on the bouquet holder or the flowers during this step.

Hand-tied Bouquets: If your bouquet is hand-tied and the stems are not receiving
water, mist the flowers lightly with cool water (using a clean mist bottle),

Shipping your bouquet

It is necessary for you to overnight your bouquet to us. This priority shipping enhances
our ability to preserve the natural beauty of the flowers in your finished keepsake. Since it is best for the flowers that we receive them quickly after your occasion. Once you have collected your shipping supplies and the coolant pack is frozen, you should plan to ship your bouquet.

You are welcome to ship your flowers to us using the carrier of your choice. Make sure
the carrier of your choice guarantees delivery by 2:00 pm the next day. We have found
that the post office is an easy and modestly-priced option.

  1. Make sure your coolant is frozen and then tape it securely to the bottom of the shipping box with packing tape.
  2. Next place packing peanuts or crumpled newspaper on top of coolant making a nest for the bouquet on the bottom of the box
  3. Now place your bouquet in the box with the bouquet facing UPWARD. Place a layer of paper towels on top of the bouquet and then fill the box with remainder of packing peanuts or crumpled newspaper, making sure you fill the sides of the box as well to stabilize the bouquet as much as possible so it will not shift during shipment.
  4. Make sure that you let us know whose bouquet it is in this box! Simply write your name, address and phone number on a piece of paper and tape it to the inside side panel of the shipping box. If you have not already given us the deposit required for the processing of your flowers, please send $150.00 made out to Lauri Ripaldi or include your credit card information (name on card, card #, expiration date, your zip code, and the amount you want charged) in an envelope, then tape that envelope inside the side of the box as well.
  5. Then close the box and seal it with your packing tape.
